Lyn was born in Maningrida and moved to Warruwi when she married her husband, Mickey Yalbarr.

Lyn is a very talented pandanus weaver and makes stunning baskets and floor mats, her Grandmother taught her how to do this when she was quite young. Lyn also likes to carve Mimi Spirits and coffin logs, from timber, which she learnt how to do when she was living in Maningrida.

Lyn is a very special member of staff here at Mardbalk Art & Craft Centre; she is always smiling and happy to help out where ever she can. Her favourite foods to eat are fish, cockles and mud crab.
